Suzuki V-Strom DL650
The Suzuki Vstrom DL650, once ridden, forever smitten. A very popular rental motorcycle and ideally suited to New Zealand conditions. With its super reliable v-twin engine, good fuel economy and excellent handling this is a hire motorbike difficult to fault. The Suzuki V-strom DL650 (often known as the “Wee”) is more than capable of handling anything you’re likely to encounter on your New Zealand tour. They’re built rugged, reliable and with a range in excess of 400km are ideally suited to long days in the saddle.
The ‘Wee’ may be one of the best middleweight motorbikes ever produced. Economical on gas mileage at around 4.4ltr/100 km (50 – 60 mpg o), a large capacity tank and solid frame make this dualsport a ideal choice for New Zealand conditions.
If covering great distances is your thing then the DL650’s remarkable reliability, middleweight, fuel economy, mule-like carrying capabilities and comfort, will win you over.
