Suzuki V-Strom DL650 'Violet'

The Suzuki V-Strom DL650 (often known as the “Wee”) is more than capable of handling anything you're likely to encounter on your New Zealand tour. They're built rugged, reliable and with a range in excess of 400km are ideally suited to long days in the saddle.

The 'Wee' may be one of the best middleweight bikes ever produced. Economical on gas mileage at around 4.4ltr/100 km (50 - 60 mpg o), a large capacity tank and hefty frame make this dualsport a ideal choice for New Zealand conditions. If covering great distances is your thing then the Wee’s remarkable reliability, middleweight, fuel economy, mule-like carrying capabilities and comfort, will win you over. Combine the Vstroms off road capabilities with it's impressive road performance and you have a bike which is difficult to walk past. This bike packs a big punch for a 650cc machine, acceleration is smooth through the rev range with power pouring in as the engine speed increases. Excellent braking, excellent handling, excellent, excellent excellent.
